It’s been a busy few years for blues Black Fret musician Jackie Venson, the youngest of nine children, who studied classical piano at the Berklee College of Music and switched to guitar-shredding reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix. Sarah Sharp, also a Black Fret artist, is a multiple Austin Music Award-winning songwriter and jazz singer.

Sir Woman: As a performer, Kelsey Wilson has worn many hats. Most know her as the soulful singer leading the indie band Wild Child, and in 2018 Wilson took part in the rock ‘n roll sound of Glorietta. But most recently, the talented musician has dubbed herself Sir Woman and taken the stage solo.
Kalu, a Black Fret artist, and the Electric Joint blend the powers of psychedelic soul music with the driving beat of rock and roll and the ancient rhythms of Africa.
